Waiting. PZAP approves Serbian List complaint, refuses six more

The Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre has approved the Serbian List's complaint against the Central Election Commission's decision not to bring the final election result to this political subject and its candidates. PZAP has said the Serbian List complaint is based.

“Paneli, after reviewing the CEC documents as well as the reasoning contained in the complaining decision of the 3101.2026 protocol, with protocol No.01156/2026, estimates that such an attitude cannot be accepted as fair and legitimate, as it is contrary to the legal provisions of the Law for General Elections LZP, Article 101, 16, article 106, Article 111 of the 2008/L-228 for the Kosovo Republic of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as in the 9th paragraph of the 13th resolution. Election results”, said in decision.

At present, the Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Paraseta (PZAP) has stressed that it disagrees with the Central Election Commission's decision not to announce the final outcome for the Kosovo Republic Assembly, held on December 28th 2025, for the Serbian List and its candidates.

PZAP estimates that this decision has been unjustified and in full opposition to the aforementioned legal provisions, “this is about the fact that after having completed all counting and recounting procedures for all 3 political subjects, the final result should be announced immediately and involving all electoral subjects without exception”.

According to PZAP, any partial declaration of the final result, under such circumstances, there is no legal basis and conflicts with the principles of equality of election subjects, judicial security and transparency of the election process.

And therefore this decision is contrary to good election practices and also contrary to the Venice Commission standards”, the decision said.

The parties have a fair complaint within the 48-hour deadline at the Supreme Court.

On 31 January, the CEC announced the final results of the December 28th early parliamentary elections. But during the meeting, members of the Commission approved lists of candidates of all parties, except for the Serb List -- the main party of Serbs in Kosovo having Belgrade's backing.

Three members of the CEC voted for, two against the Vetevendosje Movement, and other members abstained.

The CEC's decision criticised the internationals.
