Vote Manipulations/ Malisheva Commission Leader Banned

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, public opinion reports that on January 28th, 2026, he has taken investigative action over allegations of forging the results of voting during the process of counting votes within political subjects for the elections of Kosovo Republic of Parliament deputies in the Malisheva municipality.

Since the presence of a (1) chairman of the commission was not secured on the high date of February 2, 2026, his presence on interviews has been secured. Following the procedure, the State Prosecutor has ruled on his 48-hour ban.

To the same, the prosecution has applied for the appointment of the detention measure to the competent court because of the criminal act “Falsification of voting results”, by Article 216 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code (KPRK). /Periscopi/
