Sylla for Lozhan's arrest in Serbia: KLA veteran membership card found in his pocket

KLA Vice Chairman Gazmend Syla told Radio Europe Free that Lozhani was arrested at the border between Serbia and Croatia, and during the search the KLA veteran's membership card has been found in his pocket.
Meanwhile, Koci said the arrest took place about 11:00 on February 5.
According to him, this case is not isolated, as arrests of Kosovo citizens passing through Serbia are being repeated.
Koci urged Kosovo authorities to react to these arrests, without excluding political measures, “including 24-hour border closures, if the arrests continue”.
My side of the lawyer's quality is becoming the maximum possible. However, the effective protection of Kosovo citizens cannot remain only on the individual level. This is the responsibility of the state, both within and outside its limits”, he wrote.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora have not yet reacted to the case.
Not yet known under what claims Lozhani was arrested.
But, Serbia has repeatedly arrested Kosovo citizens under war crimes claims in Kosovo in 1998-99, and several such arrests were recorded in 2025 alone.
Serbia during the years '{0}'90s characterised it U n CK as a terrorist organisation, and for Kosovo, The KLA is the organisation that protected the local population from the sponsorship of Yugoslav armed forces.

Hazir Haziri He was arrested in September under suspicion of <x0 war crimes”; released in January 2026.
Avni Qajaj He was arrested in November for “war crimes”; the court in Belgrade gave him a month of detention.
Milan Vukasinovic He was allegedly kidnapped by the Serbian gendarmerie in Leposaviq the northern part of Kosovo on 1 November.
On August 14th, Serbian authorities announced that they were detained by two people with the initials X.E. and B.E. (Jamajl and Union Emini) at the border point between Serbia and Hungary, Horgos, under suspicion that as KLA members, “have committed war crimes against the civilian population”.
