Serbian List Return to the North, Northern Mitrovica Without Activity for February 17th

No flag for marking Kosovo's 18th anniversary of Independence has been posted on the square in northern Mitrovica. The only flag seen in that area is located near a coffee shop, while the city's public spaces lack Kosovo state symbols.

Unlike last year, when the solemn session was held in honour of February 17th, no such session was organised this year in northern municipalities. The return of the Serbian List to municipal institutions in the north has prevented official activities from marking Independence Day.

In addition to Serbian flags seen on city streets, the lack of Kosovo flags has caused the independence holiday to pass without symbolic signs in this part of the country. / KP/ Periscope.
