Missile combined attacks and fears hit thermal power plants and infrastructure in Kiev and numerous countries, triggering the most powerful “ ” so far, according to private energy company DTEEK.
The attacks were launched as temperatures dropped to -20 °C and left more than 1,000 tower blocks in the capital without heating once again and damaged a thermal power plant in the eastern town of Kharkivi beyond repair, reports the BBC, broadcast Klakosova.tv.
Zelensky said Russia was selecting terror and escalation” instead of diplomacy to end this war and called for a <x2 maximum pressure” on Moscow by Ukraine's allies.
The attack comes after a so-called <x0 power truce” agreed on by Donald Trump with Vladimir Putin at the weekend.
Ukraine's president suggested that Russia had simply used the time to supply rockets and prepare for the next attack.
It also occurred on the day when the Secretary General NATO, Mark Rutte, was in Kiev to meet with President Zelensky and address the national parliament.
Donald Trump's initiative was intended to give diplomacy a chance. Negotiators from Russia and Ukraine will meet in Abu Dhabi for another round of US-co-ordinated talks later this week. /Periscope
