The “Roading to Independence” is held in Ferizaj high schools
Within the framework of Kosovo's 18th anniversary of Independence, educational activity was organised in several high schools in the city of Ferizaj with the theme “Road to Independence”. This activity aimed to bring students closer to the history of statehood and sacrifices made over years for freedom and independence.
Representatives of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, along with municipal directors, visited the scientific Gymnasium “Arbrit”, Social Gen2> Shaban Hashan”, IAAP “Zenel Hajdini” and the “Elena Gjika”. Open conversations with students were held during these visits, where they discussed the long and difficult road towards Kosovo independence, the sacrifices of generations, and the role of the Kosovo Liberation Army in this historic process.
Part of the discussions were also dedicated to current developments, including court processes at the Special Court in The Hague to several former KLA leaders. The purpose of this part of the conversation was to inform students fairly and balancedly on issues related to near history and justice.
Organisers stressed the importance of preserving historical memory and educating new generations on values of freedom, sacrifice and civic responsibility, viewing this activity as a contribution to strengthening national and civic consciences among young people.
