Rama in DAS: US Co-ordination Key to Pristina Economic Projects

Pristina Community Chairman Progress Rama has announced via Facebook that during his stay in Washington, D.C., he was hosted by the US State Department's Office for South and Central European Affairs of Lyn Debovois, deputy director for Western and Central European Affairs, and by representatives of the office for politics [...]

Rama said that during the meeting, the common stand and extremely powerful relations between the United States of America and the Republic of Kosovo have been reconfirmed, especially with Pristina.

Discussions, according to him, included a wide range of topics, ranging from political stability, the role of parliament and the government, the process of electing the president, to the new challenges facing the country, not to mention what they are.

Special attention was given to economic co-operation, with a focus on “American Investment Conference”, due to be held in Pristina in March.

“Close co-ordination with the State Department is essential for the success of economic projects aimed at strengthening the private sector and establishing a stable and competitive investment climate”, Rama said on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director Debovoise, according to Rama, has reconfirmed the United States' commitment to supporting Kosovo's economic growth, ensuring American investment protection and advancing short-term economic progress and regional long-term goals for the country's future.
