Poll manipulation investigations begin in Peja

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pec has authorised the Kosovo Police Regional Investigations in Pec to take investigative action concerning the process of counting candidates' votes within political subjects.
According to the announcement, the first authorisation for the launch of investigative action was issued on January 19th by the chief prosecutor of the Founding Prosecutor in Pec, Joy Vucetaj.
Meanwhile, further actions are under way with the prosecutors' authorisations appointed by the chief prosecutor, in close co-ordination with Kosovo Police Regional Investigations in Pec.
From today, the process of interviewing commissionors has begun, over allegations of abuse during the voting count process of candidates of political subjects. This process, according to the Prosecution, aims to clarify and clear up all related circumstances.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pec suggests that, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, he will take all necessary legal and investigative actions for the full whiteening of the case and identifying responsible persons.
Also, it has become known that the Founding Prosecutor in Pec will keep public opinion informed of all further developments related to this investigative process. /Periscope
