A serious event took place in Caposimito, reports the Italian media, including La Gazzetta dello Sport.
A Napoli fan, about 40 years old, has been stabbed by his wife after a fierce domestic debate that began after the Atalanta-Napoli match.
According to reports, tension erupted when VAR canceled a penalty for Naples, causing the husband to react nervously to television. The woman, 35, allegedly thought the insults were directed at her, and the verbal debate quickly degenerated in violence.
Initially she threw items towards him, then took a knife into the kitchen and hit him on the side. The man, injured, tried to get help as the woman continued the attack by throwing other cutting tools.
Arma dei Carabinieri avoided the most serious consequences. Several more knives were found in the woman's bag. The wounded was rushed to Ospedale del Mare, where he is out of danger for life but with several wounds.
Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the event. /Periscopi/
