MPs are required urgent decisions after the Parliament's constitution

The Kosovo Institute for Justice has listed some of the urgent decisions that, according to them, should address Kosovo's 10th Parliament legislature. The IKD says these decisions are crucial to normal functioning of constitutional order and stability of institutions.

Some of these decisions are the budget and approval of the Growth Plan.

“One of the main priorities of the Assembly is the adoption of the Law on Budget Divisions for the Kosovo Republic budget for 2026, ratification of the agreement with the European Union for the Growth Plan (880m euros) and ratification of the agreement with the World Bank (90m euros). These decisions are necessary for advancing national strategic interests, implementing international obligations, financial functioning of the state, implementing public policies and avoiding the uncertainty of institutions. ”

And so, The IKD also cites RTK willed financing and municipal support.

“also, the Assembly should ensure financing of Kosovo Radio Television (RTK) and financial support for municipalities, as part of legal and political obligations for ensuring public services and the functioning of municipalities throughout the country's territory. ”

The IKD says the urgent decision is also the implementation of constitutional judgments.

A equally important priority remains the implementation of the Constitutional Court's judgments, including the act of the Law on Salaries in the Public Sector and the rights of over 94 thousand public officials. Failure to comply directly affects the principle of rule of law and the belief of citizens in the constitutional order. ”

Kosovo's Law Institute estimates that the new legislature must act with urgency, responsibility and transparency, unblocking key processes, implementing constitutional judgments and strengthening the deputy role of the Assembly in the function of ensuring democratic order and public interest. /Periscopi/
