A month after the tragic fire in Crans-Montana, 23 people injured continue to be treated in hospitals in Switzerland, while 41 other victims are receiving medical care abroad. Among them are 19 Swiss citizens.

According to data provided Monday by Swiss hospitals for Keystone Agency - ATS, the balance of victims from the tragedy known as “Constelation” is up-to-date Sunday on 41 dead, including 23 Swiss citizens, as well as 115 injured.

For about two weeks, some patients whose exact number has not been made public have left hospitals and transferred to rehabilitation clinics, including those of SWA in Bellicon (AG) and Zion.

No Patients With Geneva

At the University Hospital Centre of Lausanne (CHUV), the number of laid patients has remained unchanged for a month, with a total of nine people. Meanwhile, at Geneva University Hospital (HUG) there is no longer any patient being treated for the consequences of this tragedy.

Valais Romand (CHVR) Hospital Centre has refused to publish the number of injuries it currently handles, arguing that the <x1-cydentity of some patients could be reduced from their location”. According to the national disaster medicine network KATAMED, four people continue to be hospitalised in Zion.

In German - speaking Switzerland, Zurich University Hospital is still treating five patients, who, according to the institution, “continue to be critical”. Five young people are also laid down at the University Hospital in Zurich, two in intensive care.

The two sisters from Valais, who were being treated at St. Gallenite, have already moved to rehabilitation clinics in French-speaking Switzerland, one in Morges (VD) and the other in Zion.

19 Swiss citizens still in treatment abroad

In the international plan, the number of Swiss citizens being treated abroad has increased compared to the January 19th balance. Currently, 19 Swiss fire victims in Crans-Montana are receiving treatment outside Switzerland, according to KATEMED.

In total, 41 victims of this tragedy continue to be addressed in:

Germany: 7

Belgium: 5 people

France: 17

Italy: 12
