Israel's president wishes independence: In Jewish Tradition, the number 18 represents life

In his letter, he cited the fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the opening of the Kosovo Embassy in Jerusalem.

Herzeg stressed that bilateral relations have strengthened even after the October 7th attack and expressed expectations for deepening the ongoing partnership.

Your Honor,

On behalf of the State of Israel and its citizens, I have the honor of conveying my heartfelt congratulations on the 18th anniversary of your independence. In Jewish tradition, the number 18 represents <x0-life” and is seen as a strong and positive omens.

In the five years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, we have managed to build a strong and stable relationship. We are grateful that your country chose to open the embassy in Jerusalem, a bold decision that reflects your devotion to the State of Israel and its people.

Our relationship has further deepened after the October 7th brutal attack and its aftermath. Although these years have been filled with pain, sorrow and hardship, we have nevertheless managed to strengthen our bilateral relations. I am convinced that our partnership will continue to improve in the years to come.

Once again, on this day of pride and celebration, please accept my best wishes and sincere hopes for a year of peace and prosperity for the nation of Kosovo and its people.
