Iran's president orders start of talks with US

That is what local media have said Monday, as American leader Donald Trump said he hoped for an agreement to avoid military action against the Islamic Republic, foreign media write, Telegrafi conveys.

Following Iranian authorities' fatal response to antigovernmental protests that peaked last month, Trump has threatened with military action and ordered the sending of a group of aircraft carriers to the Middle East.

While putting pressure on Iran, Trump has maintained that he hopes to reach an agreement and Tehran has also insisted that he wants diplomacy, while promising an unlimited response to any aggression.
