IPK Chief Chief Meets Albanian AMP Director, Talk About Strengthening Law

Chief of Kosovo Police Inspectorate, Mr. The statement Hodaj hosted the General Director of the Albanian Police Supervision Agency at the meeting, Mr. Edward Mercay and his associates.

According to the announcement during the meeting, genuine co-operation between the two countries was assessed.

During the meeting, real and sustainable co-operation between the two counterparts was assessed, stressing the concrete results achieved so far. In particular, the realisation of several joint investigations and inspections was cited, drafting joint inspection reports, which with their recommendations have contributed to the strengthening of the integrity, accountability and professionalism of the two countries' police structures, it is said.

Furthermore, it has become known that the parties also discussed deepening further co-operation in the near future, including organising new joint inspections, exchanging better practices, co-ordinating and harmonising approaches in the area of police supervision.

Chief Chief Chief Hodaj thanked the AMP General for the current co-operation, expressing full readiness for the continuation and intensifying of joint activities, aimed at further establishing standards of oversight and strengthening citizens' confidence in the police in the two countries.
