Kosovo's Special Prosecutor, had filed charges against Faruk Mujka and Hysen Muzliukaj for criminal activity “Kestum use of official position or authority”.
Mujka is accused of being deputy mayor of the South Mitrovica municipality, and Hysen Muzliukaj as director of the Directorate for Geodezi, Kadast and Property in the same municipality, deliberately and exploiting official office, have exceeded competencies in order to benefit the illegal property benefits for third persons and at the expense of public property.
According to the indictment, in 25.04.2021, the defendants, knowing that the Communist Assembly had twice made the decision to declare a specific public interest in real estate, presented the same nation with a proposal for exchange of the same property, posing it as municipal property, causing considerable damage of 125,100,000 euros to the Kosovar Privatisation Agency (AKP).
Meanwhile, defendant Mujka is also accused of criminal acts “of not reporting false wealth, income, gifts, other material benefits or financial obligations”.
Within the indictment, The PSRK proposed: Probing supplementary sentences against the two defendants.
