The former husband of Jill Biden, former US lady, is arrested for his wife's murder

According to NBC News, 77-year-old William Stevenson, who has been married to the former US lady, was put in handcuffs on Monday and charged with first degree murder in connection with Linda Stevenson's death, as resulted from the indictment of the grand jury deposited in Delaware.

District Police New Castle gave no details about the circumstances of death. However, an initial announcement said that the effectives responded to a call for a family violence incident on December 28th at a residence in the wider area of Wilmington.

Linda Stevenson was found unconscious in the living room of the house, and despite attempts by police who arrived at the scene, she passed away. According to that day's announcement, her body was sent to the Delaware State Law Medicine Institute for performing autopsy.

The cause of death was not included in the announcement published after William Stevenson's arrest. Police disclosed that the great jury indictment, proclaimed Monday, was the result of a wide <x0 investigation, lasting several weeks” for the woman's death.

Meanwhile, the TMZ portal published an audio recording from the call to emergency services on a fatal night.

William Stevenson remains detained at the correctional institution Howard Young, since he did not pay financial guarantees of $500,000. According to authorities, it is not clear whether he has appointed a defence attorney.

A representative of former US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill have not commented.
