Police spokesman for the Mitrovica region Avni Zahiti has confirmed the news. The same man said the victim was sent for medical treatment, while the suspect was in handcuffs and seized a firearm.
About 2: 00 p.m., the police have accepted information about a person injured by the firearm. The case occurred on the “Ilaz Kodra” street in South Mitrovica. The injured adult (male) victim has been sent to the hospital for medical treatment. As a result of quick operational and investigative actions, police have managed to identify and arrest a suspected person who allegedly injured the victim. In the quality of the material evidence, a key firearm was confiscated by the suspect, Zahiti said.
He has added that police investigators, in co-ordination with the prosecutor of the case, are continuing further investigative procedures. /Periscopi
