German fAZ of “godet” Osman: You're playing the role of “The Trump candidate”, willing to do anything for your career

The German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has written in Wednesday's issue of how Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is seeing him demonstrate his proximity to the US presidential family win a mandate as president of the country.

FAZ journalist Michael Martens has written how Osman, approaching Donald Trump's family, is looking to secure her re-election as Kosovo president, reports KOHA, broadcast Periscope.

But its calculations could fail, even though it succeeded in making Kosovo one of the states that recently joined Donald Trump”, the FAZ wrote. “Osman appeared in Switzerland proudly side by side with the American president and has since talked about the great achievement that, according to her, represents the fact that her country became a founding member of this string”.

The FAZ has written that as Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, it provided Osman access to Trump.

The German newspaper has shown how Rama has access to the US presidential family after giving it to Trump's groom, Jared Kouchner, permission for a multibillion-dollar real estate project on the island of Saban. And he wrote as Rama is looking to strengthen Osman as Kurt's rival.

Albania's “prime minister does not tolerate Kurti, the most popular political leader of Albanians in the Balkans. So he uses every opportunity to strengthen Osman as a rival to Kurti”, wrote FAZ.

On March 4th is the deadline when Kosovo's Assembly must elect the president. The FAZ has shown how Osman in the absence of internal support is trying to appear as “Trump candidate”.

“Osman is playing her game... She targets a second mandate and needs the support of the Kosovo Parliament, whose MPs elect the head of state. But there is no support. In recent years, it has failed to provide broad support in Parliament. In Pristina, it is described as difficult in a personal way. Many close associates, such as former head of her cabinet Blerim Vela, have not been around for long”, wrote FAZ. “As a substitute for lack of domestic support, Osman has been trying to appear as Trumpit's candidate for weeks. This is the calculator. The US for Kosovo -- not only through the Bondsteel military base in the south of the country -- but through the history of the new state -- is a factor so important that this label can provide otherwise highly uncertain”.

The FAZ has said a well-informed conversationor in Pristina has shown how Osmani indirectly “threatens” with Trump.

“The threat is: If you don't re-negotiate me, you'll have trouble with the U.S.”, FAZ wrote. “Some years ago such a calculator could have even worked”.

The FAZ has written how Kosovo is the most pro-American state in the world, but it has also been noted in Kosovo that the Washington of Trump is no longer Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

The FAZ has written that as evidence that the American card does not win necessities is the success of Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje Movement in the December 28th extraordinary elections. Vetevendosje received 51.1 per cent of the vote.

The “Fittore is also the result of strong support from the many Kosovars living abroad, but that was not the only reason it decided”, the FAZ wrote. “The dominating of Vetevendosje is also special because Kurt's relations with Trump are not good. Kurti has openly supported Joe Biden during the US election campaign, and in 2024 she had attended the Chicago Democratic Party convention. After Trump's victory, it was all but useful for Kosovo”.

The FAZ has written how in September the US suspended the planned strategic dialogue with Kosovo indefinitely, and how the American Embassy in Kosovo as guilty specifically cited Kurti.

For Kosovo opposition parties, this was perfect aid to the campaign. They again trumpeted that Kurti was jeopardising Kosovo's relations with its most important defence. But the election result shows that this rhetoric no longer functions as it once did. An absolute majority trust Kurt, who is personally considered honest and corrupt”, has written FAZ.

FAZ has written that this even questions whether Osman will succeed in his maneuvers.

Osman's “Nism in Davos was met with mixed reactions. There was also understanding of him. Kosovo, even less than other small countries in Europe, can afford the risk of angering Washington. A withdrawal of soldiers from Bondsteel Base is, in some way, the atomic bombing of political threats in Kosovo. )Bandsteel is seen as a kind of life insurance against the risk of returning Serbia and the Serbian Army”, the FAZ has written.

The FAZ has shown how during Trump's first term, then US President Trump's envoy, Richard Green, had threatened to shut down Bondsteel and how the then ruling coalition. V The V-LDK had collapsed in the face of these threats.

Therefore, there are also voices in Kosovo that in Osman's actions not only see servilism, but clever political realism”, the FAZ has written. “But it's not worth any further steps to the president and his circle. So that an initiative by Osman's husband, Princeton Sadriu, a career diplomat with great ambition, was met with much ridicule. Sadriu had proposed to Trump on the X platform that former Hotel Grandiı in Pristina, a multistory disaster from the time of Yugoslavia to the centre of the city, be transformed into a APU Hotel Trumpić”.

The FAZ has also spoken of reactions made by President Osmani's decision to organise a big reception for the premiere in Pristina of the documentary “Melanie” of Trump's wife, Melanie Trump.

“Filmi, said, was shown with great success in Kosovo and put together artists, stars as well as friends of Kosovo and the US to experience a bold presentation of the American presidential family and the influential éforca of Melanie Trumpit”, the FAZ wrote. “Osman's statements were criticised by many Kosovars, at best considered unnecessary, and by some it was called servile or spineless”.

The FAZ has written that there were especially reactions to how such an event took place at the time when documents for the accused of sexual crimes of minor girls, Jeffrey Epstein, also mentioned the current American President Trump. Even film director “Melanie”, Brett Ratner, has been linked to Epstein and has photos of this, where he and Epstein are seen in the embrace of very young associates.

The FAZ has shown how Osmani in an interview in 2019, given to the German media, had said how it is important for him to leave the message at the end of the mandate that no girl or woman in Kosovo ever believe it is in any way inferior”.

In its bid for a second term, Osman is telling many Kosovars these days that she can really do everything men do even be spineless for the sake of political career”, the FAZ wrote.

FAZ journalist Michael Martens, even days ago, accused President Vjosa Osmani of diverting from representation of state interests, taking the premiere of the documentary “Melanie” under the organisation of the Kosovo Presidency.

Has anyone ever informed the outgoing president of Kosovo that there is a division between representing the legitimate interests of a state and self-degrading intellectual prostitution? Mrs. Osmani did not seem to be aware of this” division, Martens wrote on Saturday at “X”

To that end, Rior Nuhiu, an adviser to the president, reacted. He called Martens' statement disgusting.

This shows everything to you and your rotten, vulgar thinking. That's disgusting. You must be ashamed of yourself”, he wrote.
