The former deputy chairman of the Parliament, Emilia Rexhepi, who comes from the New Democratic Party representing the Bosniak community, has said they will respect the Constitutional Court's recent decision, which gives Serbian List the right to have the deputy head of the Parliament from the Serb community.
She said they have not yet decided whether they will have votes for the Serbian List candidates for the vice chairman of the Parliament.
I, as deputy, constantly respect all the decisions of the Constitutional Court. The Constitution must be respected. Now I don't know what position as a group we will have, but of course, as deputies, we should respect the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the decisions of Judge”, Rexhepi told RTV21.
Rexhepi prefers the voting process for deputy head of the Parliament to become divided again.
For us, it is better not to go into voting packages for the vice heads of the Parliament from the communities, but to vote separately for the deputy leader from the Serb community and for him from non-Serb communities. We'll see it in Parliament, the agenda, how the situation will turn out. Separation from the package is in order and there is no constitutional violation, because I have the Constitutional Court's decision for deputy heads from other communities. We can vote separately.”, Rexhepi said.
