As it says in a statement, this organisation, the Assembly remains the central pillar of civic representation, lawmakers and democratic supervision. In this new legislature, we expect the constitutional role of the Assembly to be strengthened, the quality of the legislative process will increase and ensure greater transparency in decision-making.
The “in particular, we expect the return and empowerment of the Assembly's supervisory function, the real involvement of citizens and civil society in the legislative process, as well as the priority handling of pending reforms during the” crisis period.
The restoration of civic trust to representative institutions requires responsibility, integrity and political dialogue. KDI will continue to monitor and contribute to strengthening democratic standards and parliamentary functioning”.
