US Chief Prosecutor Isufaj warns meetings with senior American officials

Isufaj has travelled to the US at the invitation of American institutions, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council said in the announcement.
During the official visit to the United States, Isufaj will be accompanied by KKP Secretariat Director Sami Istrefi and special prosecutor Naim Abazi.
At the KKP's announcement they will reportedly participate in official activities, including the morning Prayer ceremony.
“During their stay in the US, they will participate in the organised ceremonies on the morning Prayer (National Prayer Breakfast), a traditional event with institutional and international character, which gathers senior representatives of state institutions from different countries”, the report says.
According to the announcement, under this official visit, representatives of the prosecutorial system will hold meetings with senior American officials.
“...] which is expected to discuss opportunities for advancing professional co-operation and establishing interstate partnerships, in the function of increasing efficiency in the exercise of relevant tasks and competencies, as well as strengthening rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo”, is said in the KKP communiqué.
Isufaj is currently the chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor and nominated by the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for State Chief, but his appointment has been denied by President Vjosa Osmani, who now three years refused to decree the proposal.
