Gervala has said that this audio-incision is disturbing and that language and “denigrative executions” of leaders and former prosecutorial system heads pose serious risks and seriously affect the integrity and professional functioning of the prosecutorial system, Reporter.net writes.
“We strongly want such deignive language, which is contrary to the prosecutor's ethics and professional standards, but also, we also require the implementation of reforms and legal changes already in force, to give the prosecutorial system professionalism, accountability and lack of”, Gervala wrote.
It has added that reform in the prosecutorial system and in that of justice in general remains among the top priorities.
Chief Special Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj, in his address, has said that the European Union's stance regarding the Council's non-compliance is influenced by a group of interest.
Even former State Prosecutor, now prosecutor at Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi's Office, has voiced opposition to EU positions, saying they are influenced by civil society and individuals who want to see the prosecutorial system fail.
According to him, members of the prosecutorial system co-operate with international authorities with the aim of undermining the system./Periscopi/
