Albanian top diplomat Elisa Spiropali has congratulated Kosovo on the 18th anniversary of Independence.

Spiropali said Albania stands by Kosovo “as a sister and as an ally”.

Happy 18th Annual Independence.

This is a day that recalls the sacrifice, resistance, and decision of a people to live free of charge.

A difficult but just way, leading to the state of Kosovo and to the dignity of its citizens.

Kosovo today is an irreversible reality. With consolidated institutions, with developing democracy and a clear Euro-Atlantic orientation, it continues to move forward, step by step, with confidence and responsibility.

In this anniversary, Albania stands by Kosovo as a sister and as an ally, with full commitment to our European security, development and future.

Heartfelt congratulations on Kosovo citizens and all who made it possible this day.
