34 QKN leaders stopped after interviewed for vote manipulation in Mitrovica region

Over 30 leaders of municipal polling centres in the Mitrovica region have been banned.

The news has confirmed Valon Preteni, spokesperson for Mitrovica's Founding Prosecutor.

Preteni said 34 mayors of municipal counting centres have been detained for 48 hours under suspicion of forging the results of the vote.

The prosecution had ordered the interview of 43 KKN leaders in South Mitrovica, Northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica and Kosovo Police said earlier in a joint media communiqué that the “remains committed to protecting the free vote of citizens and treating any suspected case, with the aim of protecting the integrity of the election process and rule of law”. /Periscopi/
