The Special Court overturned a request by Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj for release from custody. The mayor called for easing the move with the argument that there were no more legal conditions for keeping in isolation. From the hall's cage, Veliaj stressed that detention had turned into an instrument of condemnation without trial.
In about one hour and 30 minutes of session, Veliaj once again reaffirmed the fact that all acts of the file had not been made available. According to sources, he also refused the lawyer primarily, claiming he had tested and realised she did not recognise his case.
Veliaj has claimed, that the detention had turned into an instrument of contempt without trial, while the legal reasons for easing the move have been put before his lawyer, Socrates Gjermeni. (A2 Television) /Periscopi/
