Investigations into vote manipulation in the December 28th elections will not exclude even candidates for MPs, National Election Co-ordinator Laura Pula has announced.

She has stressed that the prosecution is located in several parallel phases of the investigation, including intelligence collection, elaboration of material evidence, and interviewing leaders and polling stations commissioners. After that, Pula has said it is expected to even begin interviewing MPs who could potentially be involved in manipulation of votes.

“We are in the information collection phase, in the phase of elaborizing material evidence and interviewing leaders who should be interviewed again with commissioners. Depending on the results that will emerge from this phase of investigation, then we will also deal with interviewing or involving candidates for MPs, if it turns out anyone has brought the situation up here”, Pula has declared Pula at “60 Minutes” of KTV.

According to her, authorisations for collecting information have been given to all seven prosecutors in the country, while the way of vote manipulation is part of the active investigation.

All parties are involved. It's about counterfeiting votes within the same political subject”, Pula stressed.

She has announced that in Prizren some leaders and commissioners have co-operated with the Prosecution, offering concrete evidence already serving as the basis for continuing investigations.

“There has been an increase in the number of votes for candidates appointed in other municipalities, but not in size as in Prizren. However, the vote is vote. The shadow of errors will not be allowed. Whether someone stole 10 or 100 votes, that person will be interviewed”, it is over.

So far, 28 people have been detained in Prizren over allegations of vote manipulation, while in Malisheva 15.
