The Basic Court's Department of Crimes in Prizren on Friday has held 3 hearings, referring to the Basic Prosecutor's requests in Prizren for determining the detention measure against the five defendants, under suspicion of committing criminal acts against voting rights, misuse of office or official authority.
As the Court reports, against four defendants, A.S., I.B., B.S. and H:P, the detention measure has been set for a month's duration, which could last until 28.02.26 due to suspicion given that each has done criminal work by itself “Forging the results of the vote”.
Meanwhile, to the fifth defendants, N.B., the detention measure has been scheduled for a month's duration, which may last until 28,02.26 because of the suspicion it committed criminal acts, “misusing the official position or authority”.
Whether these facts will be argued, the Court says it will be assessed in the further stages of criminal procedure.
These decisions are the continuation of the case handled on January 24th, 2026, when the detention measure concerning criminal acts against the right to vote was imposed on 20th.
