Hoxha: Serbian military intelligence involved in Iber-Lepenc attack

Kosovo Police General Director Gazmend Hoxha has stated in an interview for RTK that in the explosion that took place on November 29th of 2024 on channel “Iber-Lepenc”, in the village of Varag in Zubin Potok municipality, have been included members of Serbian military intelligence (VBA).

According to Hoxha, one of the three detainees has been found in possession of documents testifying to his affiliation in the service.

“One of the persons arrested in this case has been found with a document proving he was a member of Serbia's military intelligence”, Hoxha said.

The Police Director has added that sufficient facts, examined by local and international experts, have been collected from the ground, which show that persons involved, with instructions of Serbian intelligence, have carried out the terrorist act.

Some equipment found in the suspect's homes has been examined by Kosovo Police and then sent for analysis to the FBI laboratory. Tests have confirmed that the mud found in these devices coincides with the scene, linking people to crime”, Hoxha said.

He has also spoken of the situation in the north, the fight against illegal weapons, as well as the challenges and successes of the Kosovo Police. According to the annual police report, there has been a decline in criminal acts during 2025, especially thefts and robberies.
