Scavino shared the happy news on social networks by posting a video of the proposal. The clip shows him kneeling before Erin wearing a large diamond ring while romantic music is played in the background. He simply wrote about the video: “She said PO”.
However, what attracted the most public attention was the very location of the proposal, which was held right before the Oval Office. Many have commented that this choice reflects an unusual combination of private and business life. While Trump's daughter, Tiffany, organised her proposal at the White House Rose Garden, Scavino was apparently forced to choose another location because of renovations, which caused many comments and criticism, records the telegraph.
However, while some expressed disappointment at choosing the location, the couple's friends and allies in the MAGA circles showed their support. The announcement was quickly filled with congratulations, including messages from Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, as well as Bettina Anderson, partner of Donald Trump Jr. Congratulations was also given by former White House spokeswomans Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnanny.
The couple were supported by Donald Trump himself, who wrote on his platform Social Truth: “What a wonderful couple congratulations!” /Periscope/
