I Love Lip in Palermo's three-day wedding sparks residents' protests

The three-day wedding of the world-renowned Albanian singer I Love Lipa in Palermo has triggered reactions and anger at some local residents who have put up protest posters in the city.
According to reports, residents have expressed disappointment as the town is almost closed to organising the large ceremony, which is taking place in Sicily.
I want Lipa has travelled to Italy for the wedding ceremony with Callum Turner, after the law marriage celebrations in London.
In the area around Palazzo Gangi, increased police presence has been observed as several squares of Palermo's centre have been closed for the event, with security measures and demands for privacy.
Residents have placed posters on the streets near Piazza Croce dei Vesper with protest messages, which says: “Palermo is not rented. Public space belongs to all”.
Another wrote: “Our square is not your living room” and “Palermo is not for the rich”./ Periscope.
