"Arrested Fatmagyli"and her husband, details from the operation that ended with 22 people in handcuffs

A new wave of arrests has hit the Turkish showbiz world. Within the framework of a broad operation coded against prohibited materials, authorities have accompanied 22 people to police in the early hours of the morning. Among the most controversial names in chains include the renowned actress Beren Saat, her husband, singer Kenan Doğulu, manager Ozan Doğulu, and actor Enis Arıkan.
The scope of this investigation doesn't stop much. The Istanbul Police Police Directorate's Office of War Against Narcotics has issued arrest warrants for other widely followed public figures. Singer Ayşe Hatun properly, social networking character Kerimcan Durmaz and singer Berdan Mardini are also part of the list of people to whom the ban has been ordered. After regular medical examinations, celebrities have been sent to the Centre for Narcotics Directorate in the Kücükcemce district for questioning.
This is not the first action of this kind to shake up the Turkish public scene recently. On May 21st, another similar operation targeted characters like singer Mabel Matitz and famous actress Serenay Sarıkaya, who received blood, hair and urine samples for toxicological analysis. Turkish legislation envisions severe and split penalties for consumption, promotion and trade in narcotics, where the act of personal use is specified as buying, accepting or maintaining these substances.
However, these sensational shares have raised a major debate on human rights and public image. Many of the known names that have gone through such investigative processes argue that their reputation has been severely damaged and that the principle of presuming innocence before public opinion has been violated. They also remember that in many similar cases in the past, drug tests for VIP characters have resulted in completely negative. /Print
