British media has written how President Vjosa Osmani, who hosted Duna at the Presidency, said it was an honour to grant citizenship to Lipsa, naming her one of the most economic cultural figures in Kosovo's history.
The singer was born in London by Kosovo-Albanian parents and lived in Kosovo's capital, Pristina briefly since the age of 11 when her parents returned after Kosovo gained independence, writes BBC.
The BBC writes that Lipa is currently in Kosovo for the three-day Sunny Hill Festival, in which she performed yesterday.
