The jury at Sean Diddy Combs' federal trial for sexual trafficking and blackmail ended the day without a decision.
According to American media, the jury failed to make a decision on either of the five counts of the indictment, so the judge advised them to continue the examination after 1300.
Please return to the jury room. If you decide you're done for the day, send me another message and I'll call you back to finish day”, Judge Arun Summanian told the jury members after 5 p.m. yesterday.
From the charges facing the rapper, the one with blackmail is more complicated, since the jury must decide whether he led a “blackmailing sub-contamination” and was involved in some or all crimes, such as kidnapping and arson.
In response, prosecutors and Diddy's legal team urged the jury to continue examining the remainder of the indictment.
Before the hearing was postponed for Wednesday, the jury sent a further report to the court, this time demanding clarification of what is qualified as a drug dealing indictment, reports the report. Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
Shortly after that, members of the jury sent a statement to the court declaring they had completed their reviews for that day and that they would continue their reviews Wednesday morning.
Combs, 55, was arrested in September and faces five counts of serious crimes -- one count of blackmail, two counts of trafficking for sexual exploitation and two counts of deliberately transporting prostitution.
As a memory, Peddy previously pleaded not guilty to any charges and denies all charges against him, but if convicted, Combs could face life imprisonment. /Periscope/
