Israeli soldiers continued the widespread attacks from evening to various parts of the Gaza Strip at the worst “pass in recent days”, says the Gaza Health Ministry report.
This escalation of violence came after several days of constant tensions and attacks between Israel and Palestinian militants at the Gaza Strip.
The conflict erupted violently after an Israeli attack on several goals of Hamas, the militant group that controls Gaza, following Gaza's missile attacks on Israeli territories.
Five people were killed near a country for the distribution of US-American aid, while 38 were killed while trying to get humanitarian aid, pointing to the high risk for civilians in conflict areas, the telegraph reads.
In all, 17 people were killed in an attack on a school where displaced residents in the Al-Rimal district, including women and children, were sheltered. This tragic event highlights the devastating effects of war on the civilian population, especially in the most conflict - affected areas.
