The announcement was made as the US president met with European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyeen at one of his golf resorts in Scotland.
Trump said the agreement with the EU was “the biggest deal ever made” and will be excellent “for cars”, writes Skynews
He said the EU will earn 600 billion dollars in American investment, buy $150 billion American energy and buy American military equipment, conduct the telegraph.
According to Trump, the main obstacle point was “justice”, citing obstacles to American exports of cars and agriculture.
He entered the talks, demanding more fair trade with the EU with 27 members and threatening high tariffs to achieve this, while insisting that the US would not drop below 15% of import taxes.
For months, Trump has threatened most of the world with high tariffs in hopes of contracting large US trade deficits with many key trade partners, including the EU.
If there were no agreement and the US had imposed 30% tariffs since 1 August, the EU had prepared anti-tarifa for 93 billion euros in American goods.
Otherwise, before their meeting, von der Leenen described Trump as a difficult “negotiator”. /Periscope/
