According to Luca Zaia, governor of Italy's Venice region, the fifth season of Netflix's hit will be shot between August 5th and 15th.
“This is extraordinary news confirming that our region is increasingly attractive to major global audiovisual products”, Zaia said in a statement sent to Italian media over the weekend.

The governor found that the director of “Emily in Paris”, Andrew Fleming, is currently looking for seats with the help of the Venice Regional Film Commission and the Venetian production company 360 Degrees Film.
The fifth season of “Emily in Paris” began shooting in Rome in May and the team returned to the French capital in June, Telegrafi reports, broadcast Periscope.

News that Venice will be part of the new season of romantic comedy comes as the city was the focus of the luxury wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former reporters Lauren Sanchez, an event that sparked protests by activists who say Venice is turning into a playground for rich people at the expense of local residents. /Periscope/
