Through a public reaction, the boss of EULEX, Giovanni Barbano, stressed the importance of full and transparent investigation of the case by Kosovo authorities.
“Take into account the immediate beginning of investigations by the Kosovo Police Inspectorate after the death of a person in Lipjan, we expect competent authorities to fully and transparently clarify the circumstances in the case, fully respecting the rule of law and human rights standards”, Barbano wrote on the social platform, X.
Kosovo police have arrested a sergeant and four police officials who were involved in the intervention of rule forces during the incident.
