Turkey calls for US-Iran talks as only way to resolve nuclear issue
Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan, has told Iran's foreign minister that the resumption of nuclear talks with the United States is the only way to resolve the conflict with Israel and the dispute over Iran's nuclear programme, according to Reuters news agency.
Erdogan met in Istanbul today with Abbas Aracchi and said Turkey is willing to play the role of mediator to help resume negotiations between Iran and the US, reports BBC, broadcast Periscope.
The Turkish president also said Israel's decision to attack Iran shortly before talks with the United States resumed was an act of sabotage. /Periscope/
