The US Department of Defence has published images and photos of seven B-2SA strategic bombers “Spirit”, which was established by Whiteman Air Base in Missouri on the night of June 20th, as part of an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities on the Midnight Hammer operation.
Each plane was armed with two GBU-57A/B bombs MPOP (Massive Oscar Penetator) of 13,600kg, the so-called “Bunker Buster”, designed to destroy identified underground targets, transmit Telegrafi.
The additional documentation confirms that the bombers returned to Whiteman air base on 22 June, after more than 36 hours of flying during which they carried out attacks on Iranian territory.
Otherwise, in the early morning hours of June 22nd, the United States carried out a major air strike on three major Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Nathanz and Isfahan.
The attack was carried out in co-ordination with Israel, and B-2 Spir's bombers, equipped with heavy GBU-57/B <x0B “Massive Mirror” able to penetrate thick concrete and ground layers, specifically targeting the deep Fordow complex.
US President Donald Trump said all targets were hit successfully and that the attack was aimed at preventing Iran from further developing nuclear weapons, as well as Tehran's obligation to return to the negotiating table after diplomatic efforts failed.
The Pentagon confirmed that a total of 75 rockets were launched, including more than dozens of Tomahawk missiles in three locations. /Periscopi/
