American actor Jonathan Josh is murdered

The suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, has been arrested and charged with murder, the San Antonio Police Department said.

The officers responded to the scene and found the actor lying on the side of the road.

Authorities tried to take rescue measures until the medics arrived and declared Josh dead.

Police have given no motive for shooting, but said the murder unit is investigating Joss' death, records the telegraph.

Jonathan, who descended from the Apache and Comache tribes, often played roles of local Americans during his actor career, which lasted nearly three decades.

His most famous character was John Redcorn in the animated series “King of the Hill”.

Played also in such roles as “True Grit” and TV series “ /Periscope/
