The tragic attack has shaken public opinion in this country known for the security and high standards of gun control.
Rina Demajha, a special doctor at the Department of Neurology at the University of Graz, spoke of “Info Plus” in RTK, about the event. She has confirmed that Graz's public hospital and the entire university have been mobilised to treat the wounded and to cope with the consequences of the attack.
The entire university and public hospital of Graz has been mobilised today, where victims and wounded have arrived from the scene. Austria has so far been recognised as one of the safest countries, with high control and high awareness of the population. These types of attacks have not been expected, so even all the people are shocked by this serious event”, Demha has expressed themselves.
She said that according to information thus far, the alleged author of the attack is an Austrian citizen, a former school student where tragedy occurred but did not graduate there.
