Law No. 0309 for ratification of the mineral agreement returned with the president's firm Monday, and the act was submitted the same day, completing the formal ratification procedure, Telegrafi reports.
On May 8th, the Ukraine Parliament voted in favour of ratification of the mineral agreement with the United States, paving the way for the creation of the Investment Fund for Reconstruction.
Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Svrydenko said that “The Fund will start operating within weeks of ratification of the” agreement.
The deal in question has been the focus of international attention for several months, due to earlier verbal tensions between Ukrainian President and former US President Donald Trump, where he had accused Zelensky of failing to acknowledge US aid to Ukraine. /Periscopi/
