Wrecking of martyrs on Istog begins

On Monday, the process of redepending the martyrs of the Istog municipality has begun.

The municipality announced that the process is being realised by the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), in co-operation with the Kosovo Memorial Management Agency (AMMKM) and other institutions.

The witnesses will be resurrected to the memorial complex in Vrelell.

The head of the municipality, Ilir Ferati, has declared that re-crowning martyrs is a dignified and necessary act “to take good care of our historical memory”.

The reassuming of martyrs in a common complex is a dignified and necessary act to take good care of our historical memory. Today, Istog honours the best sons and daughters who granted freedom to Kosovo. Along with family members and fellow fighters, we are building a common space of memory, respect and gratitude”, the announcement states. /Periscope/
