Video-Message Rama for the latest campaign: Diaspora, a high share

Chief socialist Edi Rama is ready to finalise the election campaign on the last day, where he will shortly keep the closing rally in Tirana to leave ways for the voting process on May 11th.

Through a video message in his Facebook account, he announced the Socialist Party's latest rally, clarifying it will be held with participants only from Tirana's district, as in other circles it has launched organisation for the next phase of the election process.

In his message, Rama also stressed increasing the number of diaspora votes, naming this turnout “high”. He expressed satisfaction that for the first time, the opportunity for Albanians outside borders was given to vote and considered this a historic moment for Albania, reports Euronews, broadcast Periscope.

The prime minister also expressed optimism about the diaspora's participation, adding that the latest data is encouraging and shows a very high turnout, which, according to him, is a clear indication of Albanians' commitment abroad to participate in this historic election process.

“I am extremely happy that we gave him the opportunity to vote and extremely happy that they are exploiting this opportunity for the first vote in the history of Albanians outside”, Rama said, adding that he is curious about the diaspora's judgment and will respect any of its decisions.

At the end of his message, he reiterated his commitment to Albania's future and the European Union, stressing that he is willing to work for a strong and integrated Albania in the EU./Periscope/
