Their powerful trade barriers, high taxes on added value (TVSH), ridiculous corporate penalties, non-traditional barriers, monetary manipulation, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against American and other companies have led to a trade deficit with the US of more than 250 billion dollars a year -- a completely unacceptable figure. According to Reuters, the European Commission has refused to comment on the American president's recommendation for imposing a 50% tariff on goods from the European Union starting on June 1st.
