Sweden's Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, commenting on the current political process in Kosovo, said forming the government is a common challenge in many European countries.
Westerlund in an interview for Online Economy said this is not unusual.
He voiced confidence that political parties in Kosovo will show flexibility and that, as always, a government will be formed at the end.
“As far as forming government, this is a challenge we all have. There are many countries in Europe, Western Europe, which take several months to form a government. This is part of the game. I have no further comment on this. I hope all political parties are flexible and eventually a government will be formed, as always”, he said.
Ambassador Westerlund, stopping for Kosovo's future in the European Union, said EU membership would pave the way for Kosovo to economic development. In this context, he said this process also requires compromise.
“Unlike Sweden, you have a very good geopolitical location in Europe. I think the Western Balkans have a bright future. I think as soon as possible you have to become EU members. Once you become EU members, you will have a big future, a future in terms of economic development. You just have to make some compromises to become EU members and then I think you have a very promising future of”, Westerlund said. / EO/Periscopi/
