The vote counting process from the May 11th elections follows, as preliminary results from 30% of polling stations confirm a Socialist Party victory, which is advancing towards the fourth governing mandate. So far, 2307 out of 5225 polling stations have been counted, and the SP has received 52.6% of the vote, securing 83 mandates in the Assembly.
The coalition Democratic Party for Greater Albania, led by Sali Berisha, marks a significant decline with only 34.4% of the vote and 50 mandates of 13 mandates compared to 2021.
In the largest electoral district, Tirana, The SP leads 48.8% of the vote and 19 mandates. P The D-FOR ranks second with 34.4% and only 13 mandates -- a four-term drop. Meanwhile, Agron Shehiaj with the party “option” has surprised by receiving 4.9% and 2 mandates./Periscopi/

Deep victory for SP in key circles
- Debar: The SP overturns the score and receives 3 mandates with 58.2%, DP drops to 2.
- Elbasan: The PS, with 61.3%, wins 10 mandates (+2), The DP drops to four.
- Fyer: The SP rises to 12 mandates, from 9 to 2021; The DP drops from 7 to 4.
- Leage: The SP overturns the score, gets four mandates; The DP goes down to 3.
- Shkodra: The SP gets 4 mandates (+1), The DP falls on 5 mandates (-1).
Only 1660 envelopes have been numbered from 194,889 total. Early results show a close race:
