The protest is scheduled to be held between 10:00 and 12:00, contrary to the liberalisation of the electricity market, the process expected to take effect on June 1st 2025.
According to the official announcement from the Pristina municipality, the deadlock will include these areas:
* Entering by Veternik and Gjilan ) included the road near Albi Mall and the under-Carnik (execes from Ferizaj, Gjilan and Airport).
*Access to Podujevo In Vranjevc district, including the area of the former Heumanist and the crossroads near Raiffeisen Bank, blocking access to Podujevo as well as the Dragadan towards Shkabaj/Orloviq.
Markets of participating businesses in protest will be positioned along the above-mentioned roads, temporarily unable to launch free motor vehicles in these segments.
Municipal institutions have called for citizens' understanding and alternative planning of movement during protest hours.
It has also become known that municipal authorities are in constant communication with law and security bodies to ensure the management of protest and efficient traffic management.
Kosovo police have come up with an announcement concerning the protest warned for the day by businesses, where key entrances to the capital will be closed.
In the communiqué, police have suggested that the alleged “platform of the protest will be the quiet approach and partial impasse of major entry routes to Pristina through the deployment of heavy vehicles by participating companies”.
The point of the protest is: Veternik direction to the city's entrance, circle to Kazerma running Kosovo (Pristina), the Arberia District, heading towards Mitrovica Pristina, Vranjevci éranjevci ésarbans running Pristina.
Police have said they will be present on the ground and will take all measures to maintain order and public safety, as well as to manage traffic and direct means on alternative roads.
Citizen understanding required for possible delays and suggests avoiding these roads during protest hours. Police stress that the protest has been warned in a short period and co-ordination meeting has been held with the organiser, where legal obligations and restrictions prohibiting the total deadlock of roads are highlighted. We invite citizens to comply with the instructions of police officials on the ground and contribute to the peaceful success of protest and public safety”, the announcement concludes.
