Plas coup at a counting centre in Tirana, observer hits KZAZ chairman

A serious incident has been recorded today at the Centre for Vote Counting in Kasar, Tirana, during the election process in Albania. Election Management Zone Commission Chairman (KZAZ) has been punched by an Orando Rakipi candidate observer, following a clash over a contested vote.

The event occurred in the presence of commissioners and other observers, creating a situation of tension that led to the immediate interruption of the count. KZAZ Secretary Remzi Memedi has made official remarks to the commissioners for the incident./Periscopi/
