Musliu-Sashi, at a media conference, stressed that this key moment that would pave the way for strengthening our international subjectivity was lost due to the irresponsible and arrogant actions of Kurti Government.
Kosovo's European path not only has stood, it has gone down. Just two days ago, with great regret, we saw as Kosovo lost a golden opportunity to join the Council of Europe. You know that for years a great deal has been done for our country's membership in this important international organisation”, she added.
The PDK MP expressed regret that these days, when all European leaders have gathered in Tirana to discuss the future of the continent, Kosovo has all decided without exception to impose political sanctions.
The European Political Community Summit is being held in Tirana, for the second time in a row. We congratulate Albania's prime minister, Mr. Edi Rama, for the extraordinary work he has done in the past four years to draw Albania closer to the European Union. We wish further successes towards Albania's common goal in the EU until 2030x1>, Musliu-Sshi stressed.
According to her, this is a political catastrophe as the cause of a weak, anemic, unplanned and visionless government.
Kosovo is losing hundreds of millions of euros in assistance and support from the European Union. All of this, as a result of international isolation caused by a government that does not understand dialogue, co-operation and responsibility. In the plan of international recognitions, Kosovo has fully stabilised. Not only has there been no new recognition but there has been no serious effort. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has become a sector paralyzed by Diletantizmt”, she said.
The PDK considers it unacceptable, illegal and abuse of vote of citizens institutional blockade.
We are now witnessing an absurd situation: more than three months after the February 9th elections, this government has taken the country's institutions hostage. It has blocked the formation of the new Parliament and government, leading the country towards a deep constitutional and institutional crisis”, Musliu-Sshi stressed.
Musliu-Sashi said it is time for Kosovo to have a government that works for citizens and is able to turn the country on track towards Euro-Atlantic integration, economic development and strengthening our citizenship.
That's enough. The political blockade is causing great consequences in the lives of our citizens and in the performance of our state. The PDK has contributed to the solution which unfortunately this illegal power is refusing to hear. Any delay is costing Kosovo. Today the Council of Europe, tomorrow the international funds, after something else, even greater”, has concluded the PDK MP.
